Senior Supervising Clinical and Educational Psychologist
Co-CEO, Empatia – The Psychological Forum for Parenting Therapy (Registered Nonprofit)
Clinical Work and Approach
I am a licensed and certified supervising psychologist in both clinical psychology (psychotherapy and diagnostics) and educational psychology. Since 1995, I have practiced psychotherapy and clinical supervision in my private clinic in Karmiel, in the central Galilee. I live in Lotem, a community in the Misgav region.
I offer integrative, dynamic, and existential psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and parents. My work is grounded in clinical depth, respect for each individual's emotional world, and a strong belief in the potential for change and growth. I provide both in-person and online therapy and supervision.
Specialization in Parenting Therapy
Over the years, I have developed a comprehensive clinical model for working with parents – the Dynamic Psychotherapy for Parents approach. In this model, the parent is the client, and the therapeutic process focuses on the emotional experience of parenting itself.
This model integrates psychodynamic, existential, and relational perspectives. It supports parents in processing inner conflicts, transforming rigid patterns, and improving family wellbeing. I view therapeutic work with parents as a professional specialty in its own right, and I teach and supervise clinicians in this field.
Supervision, Training, and Empatia
I supervise psychologists and psychotherapists at various levels of training, including clinical and educational interns, licensed professionals, and multidisciplinary teams. My supervision includes one-on-one guidance, group facilitation, and teaching in psychotherapy programs and institutions.
I am the co-founder and co-director of Empatia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing parenting therapy in Israel. Empatia offers training, community, and resources for professionals working with parents.
Writing and Public Work
Alongside my clinical and supervisory work, I write and lecture on topics related to psychotherapy, parenting, and emotional development within family systems.
Selected publications include:
Parenting Reconsidered: A Practical Guide to Therapeutic Work with Parents (Pardes, 2021)
Single Parenthood: Raising a Child Alone (Resling, 2018)
